I just didn't feel the payoff was worth the emotional investment. Two months ago I fractured my shoulder playing in the waves at Venice Beach. All I wanted to do was sit on the couch and watch tv.

Well, Football is my best friend. Week in and week out I was treated to the amazing collaboration of pure artistic beauty, and bone crunching violence, all in the glow of our new 52" LCD HD cosmic miracle machine. My son Adrian wanders down and joins me from time to time, and we enjoy some great father son football conversations, as well as some commercial rumbles.

I fell back in love with this sport, head over heals. There's been no shortage of affair time, as the schedule is offered up on Saturday, Sunday, Sunday Night, Monday Night, and sometimes Wednesday and even Thursday nights! I pick the team I want to win based on different things, old loyalties, Broncos and Giants, then religious beliefs, The Saints, tell me a miracle wasn't involved in their last win. Then there is the better looking home uniforms against the drab white thing the visitors get to wear. It's all much more fun than the neuritic "My Team" addiction based on geographical location.

So my shoulder is getting a bit stronger, although still hurts like a fucker if I move my arm in just the wrong way during the commercial rumbles. The season and my excuse for giving in to the obsession so fully is quickly coming to a close, but it's not over till the bare chested golden god, and the the big honkered muse of the Universe sing and windmill! Meanwhile My Wife is left to wonder if I will ever really return, especially since I have two full seasons of Boston Legal in the wings. At least my life insurance is paid up.

YNAB 3 is coming!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 110px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lYB81EFAAW8/Swt7It7-MpI/AAAAAAAAjxg/E4RdUOi4gPA/s320/ynab.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407551167288717970" />
Want to get your financial ducks in a row??? I actually started this mode of thinking middle of last year, and I call it; "if we're late, we're late." It works out sooooo much better for everyone. Now I basically deal with getting one of my two children to school, and I do it three times a week. And it is a bit a of a unique situation. Adrian is almost 11 years old, and is starting 5th grade. He has been splitting his school day between the public school in Boulder, and a small private school/miracle dedicated to teaching children with Dyslexia how to learn in a world where the public school system will not even say the word Dyslexia. The basic reason we keep him in the public school system is for the social contact, and music, art, and PE. He goes to the public school in the AM, and that is by design, because Adrian knows quite well that he, like his parents, doesn't always function well before noon. So with this schedule, I don't care if he has some, or many mornings, where he needs more time to get it together for "school." My main concern, is that he has it together by 12:00, when real school kicks in. And it is my experience that he has that procedure down 98% of the time, an A++ in my book. Now to be fair, my wife Trrish doesn't have it that easy, because she manages our 15 year old Daughter, going into 10th grade, and she does that every day that said Daughter can't get it together in time to take the public bus. Which I'm guessing is going to go up in percentage to 100% this year, because she has her driver's permit. Now Trrish can handle this quite well most of the time, but the other part of the puzzle is the two days I don't take Adrian. On those days, if Trrish chooses to drive, or be driven by Miss Dagny, then she has to deal with double trouble, and that can stress even the Mother Theresa types out there. And one last point, Trrish has more of a problem blowing off the public school requirements of getting Adrian there on time. So that is just another heaping of stress for her. So, I know what some may be thinking, why don't I either switch with her, or just take Adrian all 5 days, that's easy, because I need 2 days a week where I'm only responsible for getting myself to work. Call it mental health maintenance, or just sheer selfishness if you want, but I need it. I actually didn't mean to go into all that, I just wanted to start my daily record of a school year with my 5th and 10th grade kiddies. Part of my plan is to include a photo each day, and I'm already behind on that one, so I'm going to add the two most recent photos I have, and then try to get back on track.
Today everything went perfectly with Adrian's first day. We had pancakes at McDs, got to both schools on time, and even fit in some football in-between. I tried to interest Adrian in a new game of football where you sit on the lawn furniture and throw the ball back and forth over the table, but he wouldn't go for it, so we played under the trees, and it turned out to be us against the trees, and I have to say, it was good!

How I wound up being ozzie.

<meta equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; I remember rising from a grave during a little skit we did as young teenagers back in the day, “what is this that stands before me…” but I digress. It has everything to do with The Osbournes. Yes, Trrish, the kids, and myself were totally hooked on that show, to the point where I’d walk around the house shouting things like, “Sharon, I can’t find my fucking shoes.” Of course I used my best Ozzy impersonation, and not a bad one if I say so myself.

Then one fine night in 2002, backstage in the green room at Madison Square Garden, after a Who show, I couldn’t find Trrish, so I just started doing my little Ozzy bit, and someone turned and pointed, and said “hey Ozzy, how’s it going?” Well I thought that was pretty cool, and continued my search for Trrish in my Ozziesque way. Later that night, a group of us wound up singing songs with Rabbit Bundrick, keboard player for the Who, in the hotel lounge, and proceeded to close the lounge, and move the party off into the streets of Manhattan, where a group of us, now known as The Psycho D 11, sang Who songs, ate pizza, and drank beer until the sun came up. I recorded a number of those amazing moments on video, and in the credits of the finished product, I put something like “an ozzie and sharyon production. Changed the Ozzy to ozzie (lower case o) as more of a Tribute to Ozzy.

So not long after that I found myself in London, and was introduced to a few mates as ozzie, and the first time I heard this line, “ozzie, would you like a cup of tea?” flow out of the mouth of a beautiful young British woman, I knew right there I was on the road to ditching the name me Mum gave me. So it’s now 2009, and I just returned from a three and a half week party in Australia, where I don’t believe anyone referred to me as anything but ozzie, and it was a thing of beauty. Somewhere along the road I changed my email to iamozzie, and the rest, as they say is history.
Love,
ozzie
ps
This explanation goes out to my amazing friend Gina, who I never kissed at the Rod Stewart concert, back in 8th grade. 36 years later, I still can’t believe it.

THANK YOU AMERICA (52%)

I started writing these lyrics for a song during the 04 election, and never finished.

A vote for bush is a vote for death

He's killing your children
He's killing your earth
A vote for bush is a vote for death
They'd rather stand behind killing in the name of god
That money grubbing, hateful wanking sod
it's insanity
A vote for bush is a vote for death

Thanks for voting for LIFE in 08!

W and his administration was the Worst thing perpetrated on this country in decades, if not ever. God wants nothing from us. Think about it. Think about it seriously. Read the book that I just blew a bit of the mystery from, but it still is well worth reading. If this was "biblical times, Donald Walsch would be the author of a bible that really conveys God's message. Read this book if you believe you can set aside your addiction to your religion for a couple of hours and contemplate a serious question or two about God, religion, and the world.

http://shorterlink.com/?U3EH19 (a link to What Does God Want: by D. Her act is just simply unacceptable and I can only sympathize for her because of the punishment that she is going to receive from the heavens," Cohen told the newspaper.

Another rabbi called for Madonna to be thrown out of the community.

"Such a woman brings great sin on kabbalah," Rabbi Israel Deri told Maariv. The real story in this dust-up is not the Supreme Court candidate, but the man who picked her. The Miers nomination, whatever its fate, will be remembered as the flashpoint when the faith-based Bush base finally started to lose faith in our propaganda president and join the apostate American majority.

Though James Dobson, America's foremost analyst of the gay subtext of SpongeBob SquarePants, was easily rolled by Karl Rove and dragged back into the Miers camp, he's an exception. The pervasive mood on the right was articulated by Cathie Adams, president of the Texas branch of Phyllis Schlafly's Eagle Forum. She told The Washington Post: "President Bush is asking us to have faith in things unseen. We only have that kind of faith in God."

This is a sea change. If anything, Ms. Miers's record of opposition to abortion (a contribution to Texans United for Life, a leadership role at a strenuously anti-abortion church) is less "unseen" than that of John Roberts, whose nomination aroused no protest on the right only three months ago. The difference between then and now is a startling index of the toll taken by a botched war and hurricane response on whatever remains of Mr. Bush's credibility. The continuing inability of the administration to accomplish the mission in Iraq and of its post-Brownie FEMA to do a heck of a job on the Gulf Coast has inflicted collateral damage on its case for Harriet Miers.

"The president's 'argument' for her amounts to: Trust me," George Will wrote in the op-ed column that last week galvanized conservative opposition to the nomination. He then went on to list several reasons why he doesn't trust Mr. Bush. As if to prove the point, the president went out to the Rose Garden and let loose with one whopper after another in his first press conference in four months.

"Of all the people in the United States you had to choose from, is Harriet Miers the most qualified to serve on the Supreme Court?" Mr. Bush was asked. "Yes," he answered. Has he ever discussed abortion with her? "Not to my recollection." How much political capital does he have left? "Plenty." With a straight face he promised that Ms. Miers was "not going to change" and that "20 years from now she'll be the same person with the same philosophy that she is today." Even were that a praiseworthy attribute, it would still contradict the history of a woman who abandoned her Roman Catholic faith for evangelical Christianity and the Democratic Party for the Republicans.

BUT Mr. Bush's dissembling wasn't limited to his Supreme Court nominee. Asked how he was going to pay for Katrina recovery, the president twice said he'd proposed $187 billion in budget cuts over 10 years - but failed to factor in his tax proposals and other budget increases. The real net total for proposed Bush cuts is $103 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office, and even less according to some independent number crunchers. Turning to Iraq, Mr. Bush once again fudged our "progress" there with a numerical bait-and-switch, bragging about "30 Iraqi battalions in the lead." (Translation: in the lead with American military support.) Less than a week earlier his own commanders had told Congress that the number of Iraqi battalions capable of fighting unaided had dropped from 3 to 1 since June. (Translation: 750 soldiers are now ready to stand up on their own should America's 140,000 troops stand down.) For good measure, Mr. Bush then flouted credibility one more time to set the stage for the next administration fiasco. In the event of a bird flu epidemic, he said, one option for effecting a quarantine would be to use the military. What military? Last week The Army Times reported that the Pentagon, its resources already overstretched by Iraq, would try to bolster sagging recruitment by tapping "a demographic long deemed off limits: high school dropouts who don't have a General Educational Development credential."

Like most Bush fictions, the latest are driven less by ideology than by a desire to hide incompetence. But there's a self-destructive impulse at work as well. "The best way to get the news is from objective sources," the president told Brit Hume of Fox News two years ago. "And the most objective sources I have are people on my staff who tell me what's happening in the world." Thus does the White House compound the sin of substituting propaganda for effective action by falling for the same spin it showers on the public.

Beware of leaders who drink their own Kool-Aid. The most distressing aspect of Mr. Bush's press conference last week was less his lies and half-truths than the abundant evidence that he is as out of touch as Custer was on the way to Little Bighorn. The president seemed genuinely shocked that anyone could doubt his claim that his friend is the best-qualified candidate for the highest court. Mr. Bush also seemed unaware that it was Republicans who were leading the attack on Ms. Miers. "The decision as to whether or not there will be a fight is up to the Democrats," he said, confusing his antagonists this time much as he has Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.

Such naked presidential isolation from reality was a replay of his response to Hurricane Katrina. When your main "objective sources" for news are members of your own staff, you can actually believe that the most pressing tragedy of the storm is the rebuilding of Trent Lott's second home. You can even believe that Brownie will fix it. The truth only began to penetrate four days after the storm's arrival - and only then, according to Newsweek, because an adviser, Dan Bartlett, asked the president to turn away from his usual "objective sources" and instead watch a DVD compilation of actual evening news reports.

Mr. Bartlett's one desperate effort to prick his boss's bubble notwithstanding, the White House as a whole is so addicted to its own mythmaking prowess that it can't kick the habit. Seventy-two hours before Ms. Miers was nominated, federal auditors from the Government Accountability Office declared that the administration had violated the law against "covert propaganda" when it repeatedly hired fake reporters (and one supposedly real pundit, Armstrong Williams) to plug its policies in faux news reports and editorial commentary produced at taxpayers' expense. But a bigger scandal is the legal propaganda that the White House produces daily even now - or especially now.

As always, much of it pertains to the war in Iraq. On Sept. 28, to take one recent instance, the president announced the smiting of a man he identified as "the second most wanted Al Qaeda leader in Iraq" and the "top operational commander of Al Qaeda in Baghdad." As New York's Daily News would quickly report, the man in question "may not even be one of the top 10 or 15 leaders." The blogger Blogenlust chimed in, documenting 33 "top lieutenants" of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who have been captured, killed or identified in the past two and a half years, with no deterrent effect on terrorist violence in Iraq, Madrid or London. No wonder the nation shrugged at the largely recycled and unsubstantiated list of 10 foiled Qaeda plots that Mr. Bush unveiled in Thursday's latest stay-the-course Iraq oration.

The administration's strategy for covering up embarrassing realities with fiction reached its purest expression two weeks ago when both Laura Bush and Karen Hughes were recruited to star in propagandistic television "reality" shows. In the first lady's case, this was literally so: she was dispatched to Biloxi to appear in an episode of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The thinking seems to be that if Mrs. Bush helps one family on a hit reality series, perhaps no one will notice the reality that no-bid contracts and ineptitude have kept hundreds of thousands of other hurricane victims homeless indefinitely while taxpayers foot the bill for unused trailers and cruise ships.

Ms. Hughes took her act on the road in the Middle East. There she conducted a culturally tone-deaf "listening tour" in which she read her lines from briefing papers and tried to win hearts and minds by posing with little Arab kids as if they were interchangeable with the little black kids in Mr. Bush's "compassionate conservative" photo ops back home. She didn't seem to know that this stunt wouldn't even fly on Fox News anymore, let alone Al Jazeera.

This Saturday is supposed to bring new victories on both these troubled fronts: Oct. 15 is the day that Iraqis vote on their constitution and the day that the president set as a deadline for all hurricane victims to be moved out of shelters. Chances are that the number of Americans who still have faith that the light is at the end of either of these tunnels is identical to the number who believe Harriet Miers is the second coming of Antonin Scalia and that Tom Cruise has found true love.

Steal This Book (i mean song)

Monday, October 10, 2005
Abbie Hoffman had a few points to make in his book, and one was that the establishment is never satisfied. So it goes for the music industry. They rant and rave about music downloading to the point they are suing jr. high kids to get their money. So in the best vein of entrepreneurism, we get legal download sites such as Itunes and Napster to mention a couple. Well that isn't good enough for the scumbag industry, they can't possibly be satisfied with a global compromise that shares their filthy profits with the inovators of such technology. No, they need MORE MORE MORE MONEY! Japan's music industry wants to put a tax on digital music players such as the Ipod, so they can suck out more money from the average user. The industry is soooooooooooooo pissed off that they can't sell a collection of 14 pieces of crap wrapped around two or three legimate songs anymore. The public has found a way to say FUCK YOU! GWB and 99% of the Republican Party make me sick every day. At every turn they make decisions based on how to make the rich richer, how to use natural disaster to turn back the clock on the progress this country has made, and how to further their own quest for more money and power. I have never in my life witnessed a more unscrupulous bunch of hoodlums in government. It will take many years to clean up the mess this administration has created. And the really sorry part is that they have three more years, at least, to continue their assault on the American people, and the people of the world. We need to come up with a solution to the disease that now occupies the White House.

God is Life

Thursday, October 13, 2005

The following is a segment from Neale Donald Walsch's Blog:
http://www.nealedonaldwalsch.com/blog.cfm
Another definition of God 10/08/2005
...A huge part of that process is our renewed exploration of this whole idea of God, and of our thoughts about What God Wants. If in fact the words "God" and "life" are describing the same thing...well, we have some major, major theological implications here.

Do we need more evidence of the existence of life than life itself? No. And what does life want? Nothing. Life simply is.

Life is an energy, a power, to be used. And it is being used, freely, by all. It has no expectations, no desires, no demands, no requirements, no need to be worshipped and no need to punish those who fail to worship it. Life is a singular and unemotional reality. Life is the creator, and it's that which has been created.

Mr. Walsch is the Author of the “Conversations with God” series, the most recent of which is "What God Wants" and should be required reading for all humanity. I've been on a quest, well actually a couple of them, and it seems they interconnect. One of my quests is to transcend my current mode of sexuality from what I've labeled "two minutes from porn to orgasm." This mode of sexuality has been my mode, for various reasons, all of my life. This quest intersected and joined my quest for a renewed spirituality. What has been a very powerful struggle is now morphing into a very enjoyable journey. That is not to say it is without frustration. I have looked to other people for physical comfort; sexual desires not the least of that comfort. So realizing that “feelings” are a universal human quest, and the ability to feel all the feelings I desire is not only within me, but the responsibility is mine to create these feelings for myself. I will put that in more succinct language; I’m responsible for my own feelings. So with that realization, each time I have a desire, and start down my old path of looking to someone else such as my wife to fulfill that desire, I must stop and look inward. This is frustrating, as it is much easier to hop in bed for a quickie to appease that desire. My mind is well versed in thought patterns that assign designation to other people the job of meeting my needs and desires. The only problem is that a quickie will only appease that desire for a limited amount of time. And using sex to fulfill inner needs leaves me feeling needier than when I started. A marathon sexual experience can leave me exhausted, and I have associated the feeling of exhaustion with the feeling of satisfaction. That assignment was constructed many years ago, and I’m learning that all I ever achieved was exhaustion. It is now time to re-associate and teach myself how to satisfy my inner needs. It is the only path there is to share that satisfaction with another person.

As it takes a village to raise a child, so it does to raise one’s wounded or missing spirituality. With help from my “village” I was led to The Soul of Sex, a fantastic book written by Thomas Moore. The combination of The Soul of Sex and What God Wants was amazingly enlightening. As incredible and straight forward this type of thinking is, It now accentuates a hundred fold how misguided, and utterly dangerous the preachers of current religious theology are. They preach separation, hate, suffering, revenge, war, exploitation, inequality, among many other humanity damaging theories. And surprising as it may seem, the most damaging theory that the world’s theological preachers pass on is SEPERATION! They teach that God is separate from people and life. It is much easier to kill in the name of someone else that you believe is telling you to do so. It would be much harder to kill in your own name. For if it was taught that God wants NOTHING from you, and in fact; EVERYONE IS GOD, than what reason would there be to kill in the name of God? There would be none! It is time for a new Spirituality. And while I hope there are many movements out there that support this idea, the one organization I’ve come across in my very new journey is Neale Donald Walsch and CWG:
    http://www.nealedonaldwalsch.com/

"God is Life"

1 Comment - Show Original Post

   Paul said...

hey man, i was just browsin users and i saw yours, i dig your music very very much, and your political/religious veiws,

10:17 PM

Music Download SCAM

Tuesday, November 01, 2005
Don't fall for it! I came across an ad on my Google Desktop bar for unlimited legal downloads with no fees. They advertise no download fee, no per song fee, and no monthly fee. So I was intrigued, so I googled them. The first link I followed brought this bit of feedback up:
This is the link to the complaint below:

http://shorterlink.com/?LD7SGZ

iMusicSearch rip off!
iMusicSearch is a rip off!!! They charge you for their "advice" and then link you to LimeWire for downloading free P2P software. All other software they offer by link is also free on the Internet. All the music is not free. You take responsibility for downloading copyrighted files!!!
If you feel you have been mislead you can request a refund by contacting directly.

This was the only way I was able to get a refund
For a complete history of this scam, Google the name Ryper Inc. or go directly to the FTC complaint filing at

for a complete record of their deceptive practices. You have to download the pdf. file and read it with Adobe Acrobat reader but it is worth it.
Spread the word to others on the web so this type of sham will be stopped!

This site sells you free software such as LimeWire for downloads. They have no tech support or phone number. They will try to make multiple charges on your charge card. Their LimeWire install craps out after one use and won't launch. They are a scam outfit.

Anything with a name like imusicsearch.com sounds like a spam. Thanks for the warning, I am sure your not the only one who has been screwed over by jerks like that.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I looked at a second link from the search, and it was a site titled webreviews.org, and they review 10 music download sites, at least 8 of them are run by the same company that runs imusicsearch. What is also notable is that the webreview.org site seems to be run by the same company that runs all the download sites. It lists Realrhapsody which is it's sole try at throwing off the customer. This is a SCAM of major proportions!

This Bush League Administration is making me vomit!

Thursday, November 03, 2005

State of the Nation:

At last count 2035 dead US soldiers.

Over 15,000 wounded US soldiers.

Over 100,000 Iraqi people dead.

A brand new super terrorist base of operation- Iraq, courtesy of the Bush administration.

Global disdain for the idiocy that leads our country.

Corruption at the highest level of the administration.

An attack on environmental issues unprecedented in recent history.

An attack on human rights issues unprecedented in recent history.

A level of belligerent, and contemptuous behavior that is off the scale.

A pandering to the fanatical right that will be catastrophic to the legal health of this nation.

If you would like to hear one of, if not the most, straight forward accounts of the “war on terror” listen to George Galloway’s recent speech titled “Roots of Terrorism” which was broadcast on Boulder alternative radio KGNU, (where else?) At every turn, at every proposed change that will benefit big business and strangle the rights of our citizens and our environment, and condemn us to the rest of the world, scream “no” to your local political leaders. Every day I’m slammed in the face with proof positive that the majority of conservative republicans are the most egregious political life forms imaginable. I’ll start with the travesty that is the Bush administration, once again.

How can it be possible that this country can sit by and actually accept the disgraceful proposition that we cut funding and services to the poor, to students, and to the elderly, all in the name of deficit reduction to the tune of 40 billion dollars? This proposal should infuriate everyone with one iota of social conscience, when in fact; the proposed tax present to the wealthy will all but negate any real deficit reduction. But the rancid icing on this flagrant policy disgrace is the financial cost to American tax payers of half a TRILLION dollars for the Bush-Cheney slaughter for profit and power enterprise in Iraq. Yes, I said half a Trillion dollars, and we are no where near the end of that tab. The conservative republican led atrocity is lining its pockets with the bloody billions it is steeling form this country. All at the same time it pats itself on the back for perpetrating a most visible publicity stunt camouflaged as deficit reduction. Please tell me how, in all the world, can you actually tell yourself that these people have anything in their interest that is not wrapped around their own self preservation and quest of money and power.

Half a trillion dollars, bankrolled by US taxpayers, so conservative republicans can prop up the US corporate empire’s conquest for world globalization and dominance. A Nazi style march to assimilate the world markets without regard to any other nation’s people, beliefs, desires, or customs. Domination in the name of the bottom line is the “Holy Grail” for this crusade.

I believe in capitalism and free trade. I believe in the right to comforts that money buys. I believe that people have a right to build wealth through legal and legitimate methods. I draw the line at the filthy tactics of lying, cheating, plundering, manipulating, abusing, and terrorizing to achieve this goal. If you have any propensity to defend this administration in any way, I’ll give you an exercise; sit quietly for five minutes, and after taking ten deep breaths, ask yourself how one of the most powerful nations in the world can spend half a trillion dollars in Iraq when in Asian, African and Latin American countries, every year 15 million children die of hunger.

PLEASE re-read the last part of the last sentence until it actually registers in your brain. “every year 15 million children die of hunger.” Now, take another 10 deep breaths and imagine your child, or a child from your family or a friends family, and imagine them lying in your arms, and then imagine that child taking a last breath and dieing in your arms due to starvation. Then defend the disgrace of the so called “war on terror” and its half a trillion dollar price tag, while that imagined scenario of that child dieing in your arms, repeats itself 15 million times between this holiday season and next. There is no defense to the atrocity that this administration has unleashed on the world, so if after doing the above experiment, you come out ready with a defense, I can only ask you to start again and repeat it until your soul, or spirit, or whatever makes us compassionate human beings, allows you to see truth. Because the truth is, there is no defense. None.

Moving Day

Hello,
ozzie here, and i'm moving my ozzie posts off the wholapalooza blog. I finally found a purpose for the wholapalooza blog, and thought it be better to move the poems, ploitical rants, and family photos out of there. Well, there's only 20 posts, going back to late 2004, so it's not like this is a huge move, it's not like I'll need a tractor trailer, I'll be able to do it in my VW (wish i was cool enough to say VW Convertible Bug, but no, it's a Jetta wagon.)
But I am cool enough to say, "Later Gator!"
